With all the darkness going on in the world, I find it increasingly difficult to get through. This letter is one I will save and re-read whenever I need the reminder of the light and hope in the world. Thank you for your words.
I love the new title and theme, Lisa! Several years ago my husband and I moved our only child to Portland Oregon so she could begin her first “real” job at the age of 22. Before we flew back to Kansas City I came across a silver leaf-shaped pendant engraved with the following: “Let your life lightly dance on the edges of time like dew on the tip of a leaf” -- attributed to Tagore. Of course I bought it and brought it home with me to remind me to strive to live up to those wise words. That was 14 years ago. In a couple of months my husband of 41 years and I will move to our new home in Portland where we will have the joy of living our last chapter closer to our 36-year-old daughter, her fiance, and their sweet golden retriever Nala. My heart is full and I will continue to strive to lightly dance on the edges of time. 🩵
As I've gotten older, I've forced myself to reevaluate previous ways of thinking, and discarding more of the 'heavy' stuff, as it prevents me from growing & finding peace in my life. I measure carefully the amount of darkness I remove, and declare it progress. Your thinking of life is definitely along the same lines as mine, and for the support I feel from your words, I am grateful. Thank you

Always love your writing and your writing about writing. I also love the process of writing and I also find it takes discipline to get myself to do it.
