Hi Friends,

American Thanksgiving sounds so promising, but is of course, problematic — what with it being a day of deep mourning for some, and a day of forced family joy for others.

Around here, we find the gratitude to be the most compelling part of the holiday. Well, that and pretending I’m hosting a cooking show.
